Kyle Bradley
Howell Central wrestling
After posting a 9-7 overtime win over defending state champion Vito Krischke of Northwest, the sophomore dominated in winning the title at 119 pounds at the Lee's Summit Holiday Invitational. Bradley won by pin in the quarterfinals and semifinals and by major decision in the championship match. As a freshman, Bradley was 46-2, finishing as state runner-up in Class 4 at 103 pounds.

Aaron Dalton
Triad hockey
The 5-foot-10, 190-pound senior center leads the Mississippi Valley Club Hockey Association in scoring with 16 goals and 15 assists. He had back-to-back games with two goals and two assists against Wood River and Jerseyville. Last season, Dalton finished third in the league in scoring with 39 goals (including six hat tricks) and 22 assists.

Amanda Masters

The sophomore helped lift the Wolves to the team title at the Lindbergh Invitational by taking first in the 200 IM (2:10.24) and the 100 breaststroke (1:06.75). She also swam legs on two winning relay teams, the 200 medley and the 200 free. As a freshman, she was second in state in the 200 IM (2:07.54) and the 100 breast (1:05.51).

Mehgan Quinn
Columbia basketball
Columbia won the championship of the Gibault Candy Cane Classic, and the 5-foot-4 senior guard was named to the all-tournament team. Quinn had 16 points in a semifinal win over Cahokia and 13 in the title game against Wood River. She made 14 of 17 free throws in the tournament. Quinn was also named to the all-tournament team at the Granite City Invitational.

Mersad Ramic

The 6-foot-3 senior small forward had 28 points and 13 rebounds in a 62-49 win over Brentwood and 24 points and nine rebounds in a 50-49 win over Affton. For the season, he is averaging 24.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. A three-year starter, Ramic was named second team all-conference in the South Central Athletic Association last season.

Andy Rosburg
Marquette basketball
The 6-foot-6 junior forward tallied 25 points and 13 rebounds in a 66-37 win at Parkway Central. Then, in a 54-50 loss at Lafayette, Rosburg recorded another double-double with 15 points and 21 rebounds, breaking an 11-year-old school record for rebounds in single game. Rosburg is averaging 14.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. He was an all-Suburban West Conference selection last season.

Kathleen Scheer
New Haven basketball
The 6-foot-2 junior guard-forward ranks near the top among area leaders in scoring (24.4) and rebounding (13.7). Monday she poured in 26 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a 56-52 win over Silex. Last season, Scheer was player of the year in the Four Rivers Conference and first team all-state by the Missouri Coaches Association.

Daryl Thomas
Edwardsville wrestling
The junior is 11-0 after winning the 119-pound bracket at the Mascoutah Invitational Tournament helping the Tigers win the team title. He won all four tournament matches by pin and also posted a pin in the Tigers' 37-25 win at Granite City. As a sophomore, Thomas was 28-11, going 2-2 in his first trip to state.
