NIXA — The second day of the Missouri Class 2 girls state golf tournament was much like the first.

Lee's Summit North's McCall Christopher shot another 73 Tuesday at the par-70 Fremont Hills Country Club course to win the individual title by 14 strokes with a 146. Notre Dame de Sion won its third consecutive team title after shooting 327-326—653.

St. Joseph's Academy was able to shake up the finishing order a little bit by moving ahead of Ursuline for second place with a 690. It's the Angels' fifth runner-up finish and 18th state plaque overall. Both Notre Dame de Sion and St. Joseph's fielded a team without any seniors.

"Notre Dame is just awesome," St. Joseph's coach Carol Fromuth said. "If you can't finish first, second is good. They're going to be tough to contend with again next year. We can do it, but it's going to depend on how hard each girl's going to work."

Gina DellaCamera shot an 81 and led the Angels with a 160, which tied her for second place. Rachel Thompson shaved four strokes off her first-day total with an 81 to finish in a tie for 12th with a 166. Libby Garner and Elizabeth Dulle each finished at 182.

"I just tried to focus a little harder, and my putting was a lot better," Thompson said. "To take second after we were in third after the first day is amazing."

Ursuline, which was in second place after the first round, captured third with 699. Andrea Frankiewicz shot a 85 for a 168 total to tie for 15th and lead the Bears, and Gabi Hitch improved four strokes to tally a two-day total of 176.

Summit sophomore Lindsey Eisenreich was in the final foursome after firing a 79 in the opening round, but she could not find her game on the second day and carded an 84 to finish in a tie for ninth with a 163. She did have a chip-in for an eagle on the par-5 13th.

Francis Howell junior Brandy Jung shot 88-85—173 to tie for 23rd while wearing a walking cast on her foot following a car accident.
